About Ash Autos
Established in 1989, Ash Auto’s Stock will typically include a huge choice of vehicles, ranging from small hatchbacks, family cars, estates, sports cars, MPVs up to 4x4s. We normally have in excess of 100 cars in group stock, however, should you not find the vehicle you are looking for please call us with your requirements as we will always do our utmost to find the 'right' car for you. We don’t have and high pressure salesman or clever gimmicks; just quality vehicles honestly priced. Customers are welcome to browse and test drive as many as they like. Our People
Ash Ladwa – Company Director
Ash, coincidentally named after the business, founded the business with his wife Hansa in 1989. After a 22 year career in the Royal Air Force working as an engineer he decided that cars were where his heart lay. Having worked on aircraft Ash’s attention to detail and tenacity for the very highest standards have been a driving force in the company’s success.
Ash has built a terrific network of valued and trusted suppliers, some of which we have dealt with for over 20 years! By being independent of any manufacture we can be unbiased in recommending cars to you that cater to your needs.
Ash's role in the business these days, is to manage and look after the Little Barrington site. Even after all these years, his enthusiasm for meeting and looking after new customers is unsurpassed, as his love of test driving with customers will show!
Ash has a varied and successful sporting past; from being a national cycling champion for several years, a judo instructor and a pilot. Now he relieves stress on the dance floor and at the gym. Ash is happiest when he can converse and enjoy the company of customers, who often become friends.

Praniel Ladwa – Managing Director
Praniel inherited his passion for cars from his father early in life. Following his father and clinging to his shadow from 3 years old the enthusiasm and knowledge seeped through. After his A levels he read Economics at the University of Warwick and then completed his Masters of Science in Economics & Finance at Business School. He entered the world of finance and specialized in trading US and German Treasury Bonds. At 23 he became globally responsible for recruitment, training and managing traders in Europe and North America for Refco Trading Services. During this spell he worked in Montreal and Chicago as well as Gibraltar and London. A short trip to Milan turned into a very enjoyable 3 year stay and Praniel continued to trade as well as nurture aspiring traders. Praniel lectured at conferences frequently appearing as a speaker for various trading related topics.
In 2007, Ash’s poor health brought Praniel back to the UK and the Cotswolds! He quickly took over the reins to modernize the business and build on the outstanding reputation Ash had established. Indeed it is the emphasis to maintain these values while providing a professional service and a greater choice of cars that spurs him on. Praniel enjoys changing the old fashioned image of a car dealer by insisting on the highest level of integrity from the team.
Outside work he enjoys Skiing and spending time with his camera in picturesque places.

Hansa Ladwa – Company Director
Within the company she is known as the ‘backbone’ and is integral to the day to day running of Ash Autos!. Hansa is involved in the logistics and administration. Moreover her ability to keep everyone organised and in line cannot be underestimated. Hansa started the company with Ash from its humble beginnings and has grown it from the home based business with 10 cars to where we are today. After work she most enjoys catching up with her friends and family and is a fantastic chef!
Stephen White – General Manager
Stephen joined Ash Autos in July 2009 and he helps to oversee both Sales sites as well as the Service Centre. He brings a wealth of knowledge gained from the varying Main Dealer roles he has enjoyed before.
Stephen joined the Motor Trade back in 1993 as a Dealership Apprentice for a family ran Volkswagen Dealership. After a couple of years training he has progressed upward and since enjoyed successful roles at Peugeot, Suzuki, Toyota, Lexus and Jaguar Main Dealerships. Within this time he has covered a whole host of roles, including Sales Executive, Rental Manager, Sales Controller and Business Manager.
Outside of work, Stephen can often be found hitting a ball around a squash court, trying to keep fit! He also enjoys travelling to places new, experiencing both new customs and cultures from around the world.

Alistair Foreshew -Senior Vehicle Technician
Alistair joined Ash Autos when we first opened our Service Department. His role includes all aspects of service work, from routine servicing, tyre and exhaust fitting, plus all other aspects of mechanical and diagnsotic work. He also helps and assists in the day to day running of our workshop.
Alistair actually started working on cars back in 1995 and since then, he has worked on all sorts of vehicles, from cars, vans and even lorries, so he brings a wealth of knowledge to our workshop. His passion for cars even extended to looking after a previous employer's race car for 2 seasons - out of his working hours!
Outside of work, Alistair is a proud family man with 4 children to look after. When he needs time away from the family however, Ali volunteers to look after 2 local churchyards, which involves cutting the grass, looking after the trees and other general maintenance.

Christine Thompson – Admin Manager
Christine joined the company in 2007 to alleviate the growing mound of paperwork and administration. She works behind the scenes to ensure the business runs smoothly and is now also involved in assisting the servicing side of the business to keep on top of the paperwork. When not at work, Christine can often be found spending time running after her very energetic grandchildren.
